MonkeyMom Changelog: Userscript Feature and Release Timeline
MonkeyMom userscript changelog: the notable feature and behavior changes of every release, from multi-tab agent tasks to GM API compatibility, with dates.
Last updated: 2026-10-26
2026-10-26 — v0.7.0 Multi-tab tasks
Parallel sub-tasks across tabs
- The agent gains
open_tabs/wait_tabs, opening background tabs to run sub-tasks and aggregating results in the main tab. - Max open tabs and max sub-task steps are configurable in Settings.
Per-tab task state
-
Each tab tracks its own task, with cross-origin handoff, so tabs no longer interfere.
Note: task state is stored under a per-tab ID, but that ID only lives in the current site's
sessionStorage. When the agent runs code that navigates to another site, the new page has no way to know the old ID and the task would be lost. So before navigating, a one-time handoff note is written; the first page on the new site within 60 seconds picks it up, adopts the unfinished task and deletes the note. Expired notes are ignored, and tabs opened with task params skip adoption. With per-tab isolation, several tabs can run agents at once without overwriting each other's state.
Deep-link task params
- A URL ending in
#__tm=<JSON>opens the AI chat page and sends the given prompt and mode.
2026-10-24 — Auto-saved settings
Settings page
- Settings save as you change them; the Save button is gone.
2026-10-23 — Update checks and link install
Update checks
- A red dot and banner appear on the floating ball when a new version exists; "Update now" in Settings opens the download URL.
Install from link
- Opening a
.kid.js/.user.jsURL asks whether to install it as a sub-script, keyed by@name+@namespace, with an overwrite prompt for the same identity; the install address is stored asupdateUrl.
Script row menu
- Export and delete move into a ⋮ menu, plus "Update script" comparing
@version.
2026-10-22 — Chat UI and new agent toolset (v1.11 / v1.10)
AI chat page
- Session list, Agent / Ask modes, stop while running; code blocks collapse and can run or save as a sub-script in one click.
- The AI chat tab becomes the first and default tab, with an empty state that points there.
Agent toolset redesign
- 16 fine-grained actions collapse into
execute_scriptplus page reading, screenshots, cross-origin requests, sub-script management, skills, conversations, OPFS transfer andask_user.
OPFS workspace and debugging
- Agent conversations and artifacts live under
agents/, and tasks can resume. - The panel log area is off by default (Settings can enable it).
- Element injection on Safari and strict-CSP sites adds the page nonce, with an automatic fallback when unavailable.
2026-10-20 — Menu commands and classic storage (v0.6.2 / v0.6.4)
Sub-script menu commands
GM_registerMenuCommand/GM_unregisterMenuCommand, rendered as buttons under the script row.
Notifications and classic storage
GM_notificationas in-page toasts with click callbacks.- Script-scoped
GM_getValue/GM_setValue/GM_deleteValue/GM_listValues, so classic menu-toggle scripts port directly.
Cross-manager compatibility
- Return-value differences between managers are recorded and kept in sync, so
awaiton a raw return value no longer trips up sub-scripts.
2026-10-19 — No-eval architecture and @resource (v0.5.0 / v0.6.0)
No runtime eval
- User code is compiled once as part of the privileged injection, so strict-CSP sites work; top-level
return/awaitare available.
Browser compatibility and @resource
- Via and similar managers: GM APIs are passed in as parameters, fixing unavailable APIs inside sub-scripts.
- @resource compatibility: three resource APIs for sub-scripts only, prefetched and cached before injection, with manual and scheduled refresh.
Distribution simplification
- The shell loader is removed; the standalone script is the only build.
- The quick-command feature is removed, leaving the generate page with save-script and agent-loop modes.
2026-10-15 to 10-18 — i18n and GM API allow-list
Internationalization
- All UI, errors, logs and AI prompts move into translation tables, with separate Chinese and English builds.
GM API allow-list
- Host and sub-scripts share one GM API allow-list aligned with the official docs, with legacy classic APIs granted for compatibility.
Rename and version control
- The project is renamed MonkeyMom (formerly NUWA), and the floating ball brand mark becomes M.
- Local sub-script version history is removed; version control moves to the server.
2026-10-14 to 10-15 — Event bridge and GM diagnostic panel
Event bridge injection
- Sub-scripts execute through
GM_addElementinjection plus a CustomEvent bridge, with element handles supported as return values.
GM diagnostic panel
- The panel becomes a table covering the full GM API surface, with colour-preserving copy and CSV export.
Panel interaction
- The tab bar gains a close button and doubles as the drag handle.
2026-10-12 to 10-13 — Project start
Core shell
- Management panel, floating ball and tab shell.
AI capabilities
- AI script generation and the runtime AI gateway.
- Autonomous agent loop: observe → decide → execute → feed back.
Debugging and operations
- Eruda debugging, AI repair, import/export and usage stats.
